Description
The custodian will clean and disinfect the building and common areas, maintaining cleanliness for employees and visitors. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of cleaning products as well as kitchen supplies.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a Janitorial roll preferred, but not required.
Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents; write employee communication pieces and routine business correspondence; speak effectively before a group of peers and ability to communicate with a broad range of audiences (senior management level to front-line production employees).
Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Other skills and abilities:Initiate and maintain good organization of records and information. Ability to prevent errors and solve problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials. A production employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Empty trash from office, breakrooms, and bathrooms. Recycle as appropriate.
2. Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
3. Stock bathroom and breakroom supplies
4. Vacuum carpeted areas bi-weekly or as needed.
5. Sweep and mop daily or as needed.
6.Preforms other duties as assigned.
