WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal Rental Shop Supervisor for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests, ensuring safe and effective services through the Rental Shop. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Rental team, overseeing Rental Shop operations. The right person will be able to train team members accordingly and ensure safe operation in the shop.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Operations & Guest Service
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of rental, tune shop and retail areas, ensuring smooth opening, operating, and closing procedures.
- Maintain high standards of guest service by ensuring staff deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient support.
- Troubleshoot guest concerns and equipment issues in real time.
- Ensure rental equipment is properly fitted, maintained, sanitized, and rotated.
- Monitor rental flow to reduce wait times and manage peak-period traffic.
- Delegate work as appropriate, stating clearly objectives and time-line requirement and monitor employees' successful completion of work
Staff Leadership & Training
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, supervising seasonal and year-round staff and performance management.
- Provide ongoing training in equipment fitting, sales techniques, guest service standards, and POS systems.
- Encourage teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Serve as an on-duty leader when the Manager is away.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Assist with inventory control, including stock counts, receiving shipments, and organizing back-of-house storage.
- Help maintain accurate inventory levels of rental gear, apparel, and accessories.
- Support merchandising efforts to ensure the retail floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Communicate low-stock items, equipment needs, and repair requirements to the Manager.
- Assist with entering rental and retail orders.
- Attend buying shows to assist with selection of inventory for next season.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all equipment meets indemnification.
- Maintain safe working practices in compliance with resort policies and industry standards.
- Ensure staff follow proper fitting procedures and equipment use guidelines.
- Monitor shop cleanliness and organization to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
Administration & Reporting
- Assist with daily cash handling, deposits, and POS reconciliation.
- Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates to management.
- Support budgeting, purchasing, and forecasting activities as requested.

- Understand and follow emergency procedures.
- Report incidents, injuries, or property damage immediately.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
