What does a Risk Specialist do?

As a Full-Time Risk Specialist at People Driven Credit Union, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our members from fraudulent activities. Your responsibilities will include reviewing applications, account transactions, and access points to identify and mitigate potential threats effectively. Utilizing Verafin and other assigned software, you will investigate fraud alerts and collaborate with frontline employees, offering your expertise on account fraud. You'll engage with members professionally through phone calls and messaging systems, enabling swift action on suspicious activities. Additionally, you will leverage your investigative knowledge to educate members about emerging fraud trends, ensuring they make informed decisions regarding their personal identification information.
