About the Department
Alabama State University, College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, invites applications to fill the position of Postdoctoral Researcher in Cyanobacteria Photosynthesis. The project is a collaborative efforts among the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL), and Alabama State University (ASU). This project targets the isolation, photosynthesis, and applications of the cyanobacteria strains collected in Alabama and Gulf Coast regions. The selected candidate will hold a leadership roles in training and cyanobacterial research and will play key role in developing the Alabama Regional Microalgae and Cyanobacteria Collection Center (ARMCCC). This position also has the potentially teaching students in laboratory research.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering or other related discipline. Peer-reviewed publications, and experiences in cyanobacteria research preferred.
