Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the effective operations of installation and delivery functions at each company location for all product categories. Appropriately respond to customer needs, manage all necessary processes/procedures (including scheduling processes), direct training programs, manage manpower needs, coordinate vehicle/equipment/facility maintenance, and assist in the management of overhead and profitability.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities
MANUFACTURER RELATIONS:
¨ Contact the manufacturer for assistance as needed.
¨ Distribute bulletins, technical manuals, and other materials to appropriate personnel.
¨ Contact/meet with the manufacturer's service representative and the appropriate management regarding problems and/or administrative issues.
TRAINING/STAFF DEVELOPMENT:
¨ Coordinate/oversee a training program for new drivers/installers and on-going training for existing drivers/installers.
¨ Review and monitor training programs conducted/offered by manufacturers.
¨ Manage internal cross training; coordinate and arrange on-site training available from manufacturer.
¨ Determine the need for manufacturer training and seminars and make necessary arrangements for training.
ADMINISTRATION:
¨ Conduct/participate in meetings for purposes of discussing general policies, procedures, and problem areas.
¨ Conduct meetings, as necessary, with all necessary personnel to discuss specific service/installation challenges.
¨ Review manpower and territorial needs.
¨ Establish charges for hourly rates, task related charges, etc.
PERSONNEL:
¨ Active involvement in the interviewing/hiring process at all locations.
¨ Make recommendations with respect to manpower levels and needs, personnel performance, personnel corrective actions, etc.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
Maintain a detailed understanding of the furniture and/or equipment the company is installing/supporting to provide the knowledge necessary to:
¨ Ensure all employees have the correct tools, training, and equipment to effectively serve our customer’s needs.
¨ Coordinate the allocation of resources, both personnel and equipment, to quickly address all customer issues.
¨ Troubleshoot high-end problems and/or participate in any potential escalation process.
¨ Distribute bulletins, technical manuals, and other materials to appropriate personnel.
¨ Meet with the manufacturer's service representative and the appropriate management regarding any observed/reported problems.
¨ Quickly escalate and resolve all customer issues using all available resources.
¨ Work with management to enhance the operations.
ANALYSIS OF OPERATIONS:
¨ Develop a thorough understanding of the of the DDMS and eAutomate software packages relating to deliveries and installations.
¨ Apply the capabilities of the DDMS and eAutomate software packages to as many aspects of the installation and delivery process as possible to ensure maximum efficiency.
¨ Develop computer reports necessary to managing installation and delivery effort.
¨ Establish goals and measure individual productivity via any available means.
MAINTENANCE:
¨ Coordinate and oversee routine and non-routine vehicle, building maintenance, and janitorial tasks/projects.

Qualifications
¨ Degree in Management Preferred
¨ 5+ Years Management Experience Preferred
¨ Computer Experience Desirable

¨ Travel as necessary to store locations
¨ Valid driver's license and good driving record
