Logan Health Medical Center is seeking an RN to join a supportive, specialty-focused team where your skills are valued and your workdays feel impactful!

This role centers around supporting patients through coronary CT and Nuclear Medicine procedures with clinical skill and strong attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing patients for coronary CT scans and starting IVs

  • Performing EKGs and echo stress tests

  • Administering oral medications during scans

  • Monitoring and assessing patients for symptoms or adverse reactions

  • Completing chart reviews and identifying contraindications

  • Pre-procedure phone calls, patient preparation and ordering medications

  • Support patients after procedures with discharge instructions, education, and review of scan results

  • Responding to codes or medical emergencies during procedures

Qualifications:

  • Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.

  • BSN degree preferred.

  • Current HCP CPR certification required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred.

  • Current ACLS and PALS certification may be required in certain departments and successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Other Job Specific Duties:

  • Performs patient assessment. Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness. 

  • Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate.

  • Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit.  

  • Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider.

  • Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care.

  • Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards.

  • Administers medications per provider order.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Shift:

Day Shift - 10 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: Full-time, 30 hours per week (three 10-hour shifts weekly).

Position will participate in rotating on call every fourth weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Also possible this position will participate in holiday on call rotation.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
