Pay Range - $28/hr - $32/hr
Position Purpose
Provides case management support to Arvada Housing Authority’s Housing Choice Voucher Program participants.
Work Schedule: 30 or more hours per week. This is a grant-funded position and is expected to last based on funding and/or no later than 9/30/26.
This position is Health Plan Eligible.
Essential Job Functions
Provides one-on-one case management focused on housing stabilization and lease compliance.
Performs highly flexible services tailored to meet the needs of each household.
Provides ongoing relational support to promote housing stability and well-being.
Provides early intervention and support to address issues that could jeopardize housing stability.
Promotes problem-solving and crisis management to build resilience and self-sufficiency.
Assists clients with access to life skills training and support for independent living.
Connects clients to education and employment opportunities.
Assists clients with applying for SSI/SSDI, or other benefits, when appropriate.
Ensures appropriate use of flexible funding to support housing stability goals
Assists with cleaning and unit maintenance to ensure lease compliance.
Assists with coordinating and connecting to other supportive services as needed.
Plans to “graduate” rom intensive housing case management services, as appropriate.
Develops, monitors and revises housing stabilization plans with program participants.
Travels to and attends team and organizational meetings, training, events and activities and appropriately and professionally represents the department.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to perform Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) data entry.
Ability to engage and motivate clients to maintain participation in voluntary services.
Ability to interact in a supportive and professional manner with a diverse population.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, including service provisions, documentation, rule enforcement and crisis intervention.
Ability to build individual life skills, including family finance and budgeting skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
Demonstrates strong verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.
Demonstrates proven ability to conduct outreach and engagement.
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Knowledge Skills Abilities Preferred
License & Certification
A valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.

Work Experience Related
Two (2) or more years case management and/or direct service delivery, preferably working with issues of homelessness and/or domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health and child abuse prevention.
Experience using Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
Physical Demands
Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed and minimal.
Hazards
Minimal exposure to hazards are typically found in general office environment where there is rarely to no exposure to injury or accident.
Work Environment
Exposure to routine office noise and equipment.

The City of Arvada does not offer benefits to temporary and/or seasonal employees. Temporary, Variable Hour and Health Plan Eligible employees will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum cap of 48 hours.
