The opportunity
We’re seeking expressions of interest from individuals looking for a lifestyle shift to work in our Public Places Cleaning team for a period up until April 2026.
As Public Place Cleaner in the West (Raymond Terrace and surrounds), you will support the delivery of quality cleaning, garbage services, minor maintenance services and other operational duties to ensure an enjoyable, attractive and safe public place for our community across Port Stephens.
This is a contract opportunity until April 2026.
- This is a contract opportunity – working full-time 38 hours / week on a 9-day fortnight. Hours are from 7:00am – 3:30pm each day.
- Base Salary Range: $60,894 to $63,916 pa based on 38 hours / week + 12% superannuation + adverse work allowance
- You will be working from Raymond Terrace Depot

- General cleaning of public place amenities
- Minor maintenance, repairs and improvements within the work schedule to public infrastructure, building and structure maintenance as required

- Sound commercial or housekeeping cleaning experience using safe manual handling techniques, grounds and maintenance experience
- Demonstrated safe operation of small plant items such as water blasters, sweepers, blowers, mowers, whipper snippers, hedgers
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
