Job Description:

FLINT is seeking a Plant Operator with at least 3 years' experience for a Permanent Role in Shatnz, AB, starting on November 26, 2025. In this position, you will enjoy an alternative shift schedule of 4 Nights On / 3 Nights Off, 3 Days on/1 Day Off / 3 Nights On, and 1 week off,  12-hour workdays, and benefits after 300+ hours worked. 

This position does not include camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel allowance. Therefore, it is best suited for local candidates; however, those willing to travel or relocate at their own expense are also encouraged to apply. 

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Plant Operator in Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Valid minimum of 3rd class Power Engineer certificate/ticket.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of all facets of gas plant operations. 
  • Ability to monitor and maintain various plant equipment, record testing outcomes, report equipment issues, and oversee production process while improving the plant facility’s efficiency, quality, and safety.  
  • Experience with the safe operation of a 3rd Class, 1020 kW Fired Glycol System.
  • Experience in isolation and permitting activities in a large industrial setting.
  • Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements: 
    • H2S Alive 
    • Standard First Aid 
  • Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions. 
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. 
  • Must have own reliable transportation to site. 
  • Valid 5th Class driver’s license and clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract with under 6 demerits. 
Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
