Main Purpose of Job
As a Senior Strategy Consultant, you will be responsible for scoping projects, leading all aspects of analysis, including managing project end-to-end, and owning the delivery across a range of clients. With the support and oversight of team members, you will take a leadership role on your projects, overseeing teams to produce client deliverables and coaching team members.
You will have significant and demonstrated experience in facilitation, evidence-based and data-driven approaches, client relationship management skills and business development.
Key to your role is leading your project team(s), providing guidance and feedback to your team members at Consultant(s) and Analyst(s) level.
Roles and responsibilities:
Client Delivery for Strategy Engagements
- Supports the Engagement Manager in delivery of engagement / project, in specific area of competency
- Facilitate multi-stakeholder, cross-functional engagements to present and evaluate these opportunities and explore potential interventions to realise them
- Conceptualise and/or execute effective change management frameworks and processes to ensure commitment from a variety of busy stakeholders
- Execute initiatives efficiently and effectively, whether it be facilitating a strategy session, presenting key findings, modelling a business case, building a dashboard, optimising a process flow or researching global best practice
- Problem-solve in unstructured environments where the diagnosis and solution may not be clear and lateral thinking is required
- Raises issues with manager as identified in area of focus that may affect the quality of delivery or timelines of the engagement
- Identifies opportunities for follow-on work and works with management to win the business
- Assists in development of client presentations / discussion documentation
- Actively builds business relationships that generate leads
- Gathers information to understand broader offerings of Deloitte and seeks opportunities for cross-selling
- Raises solutions to address issues in area of expertise that may enhance / renew service offerings to client
- Under guidance, supports the Engagement team in delivery to client in area of competency
- Builds business relationships with clients/ staff
- Raises ideas to address issues in area of expertise that may enhance / renew service offerings to client
Experience Required
- Experience within a tier-one professional services firm working across Strategy projects with multi-disciplinary teams of the industry domains of Consumer Business, TMT or FSI
- Advantageous to have some team leadership opportunities in a project engagement
- 5-8 years working experience in a client facing consulting tole
- Soundly skilled in providing vision and strategy for client proposals
- Excellent report writing skills
- Good financial knowledge
- Bachelor's qualification in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related
- MBA or Masters in the relevant field of study is a definite advantage
