As a member of the Operations team supporting the Americas Distribution Platform, we act as the link between LEGO stakeholders and our outsourced logistics partners ensuring LEGO products are received, stored and shipped both accurately and timely
Core Responsibilities:
- Utilizing an end-to-end mindset, aid operations and proactively interact with 3PL partners ensuring timely receipt and shipment of finished goods and marketing materials.
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly activates with our 3PL’s to include scheduled calls/meetings, which include; planning, prioritization, trouble-shooting and resolution, etc.
- Responsible for the Import flow to Brazil.
- Responsible for the Order Management Department.
- Interface globally with LEGO departments (US Distribution, Transport, Imports/Exports, LOM, 3PL Customs Brokers, Carriers) for E2E Import process into Brazil and Mexico Inbound.
- Project Leader and key member in Latin America for Logistics Projects that includes Distribution Centers set up from the ground, plus all the infrastructure needed (focus in Mexico and Brazil)
- Leadership of 5 direct employees in both Brazil and Mexico plus outsourced employees based on local Distribution Centers.
- Drive collaborative work sessions between Operations and the Markets to understand the impact and complexities of VAS activities through comprehensive cost/benefit analyses as a foundation for value based decision making.
- Responsible for implementation of Distribution operations initiatives in collaboration with external partners and LEGO stakeholders
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience within Logistics and Distribution in Latin America, at least 3+ years experience in a manager role.
- Candidates must possess and demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and oral, with the ability to lead and engage others. Provide clear and coherent direction to both internal and external stakeholders. Must also be highly process focused and think strategically and across the full value chain, developing an End-to-End perspective.
- Demonstrate the ability to work within a leadership team focused on jointly executing the required business plans while developing own leadership skills and mindset. Strong presentation and data analysis skills required. Experience managing operations budgets and contracts.
- Mexico office based position; minimum commutable days to office is 3 days per week.
- Must be able to travel for multiple days/nights to domestic and international locations.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable, and Portuguese is considered a plus.
- People leadership is also a plus
Note: This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico Sales Office located in Alexander Von Humboldt 43A, Lomas Verdes 3ra Secc, 53125 Naucalpan de Juárez, México. This is not a remote position
