Ventia is a leading maintenance service provider supporting Australia’s Defence Force (ADF). Expand your expertise on unique vehicles and equipment and collaborate with leading professionals across a range of disciplines. As part of our contract with the Australian Government Department of Defence, Ventia provide materiel maintenance support of land-based equipment for Joint Logistics Unit (JLU).
We are currently looking for a Stores Person to join our team at Robertson Barracks in Darwin, NT. This role would see you conducting stores tasks, account management and stocktakes, ensuring they are competent and qualified within time frames specified in Work Orders to the required Work Standards and/or the standard detailed in materiel specific instructions.
The responsibilities of the position include;
- Receive, unload and inspecting od good
- Storage and organisation within store location
- Pick, pack and prepare goods for order fulfilmen
- Inventory management including participation in regular stocktake
- Operating equipment such as forklift, pallet jack or other equipment for handling of good
- Communicate with team members, suppliers and customer
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guideline
- Ensure competency skills and licences are maintained and attend appropriate training
- Assist with maintenance record keeping and documentation
- Maintaining housekeeping of stores areas
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency, relevant to the trade environment they will be working in
- Demonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalent
- Forklift license can be obtained as part of onboarding for the right candidate
- Possess a current Australian State or Territory open drivers licence for C - classes of vehicle
- Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills
- Well-developed computer skills including SAP, Microsoft and Defence systems desirable
The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen
