Position Title: Staff Accountant                                                    

Company Overview:

BIOQUAL was established in 1981 and performs contract research services focused on in vivo models of human diseases including COVID-19, AIDS, influenza, RSV infection, Flavivirus infections including Zika and Dengue, malaria, hepatitis, and cancer. BIOQUAL has laboratories and vivariums under both BSL-2 and BSL-3 containment. In addition, BIOQUAL maintains CDC-approved BSL-3 containment laboratories for studies associated with Select Agents including highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Objectives:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations

• Complete monthly journal entries

• Manage the customer invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing 

• Perform collection activity and resolution of outstanding invoices for past due accounts 

• Perform monthly AMEX bill reconciliation

• Assist in any internal or external audits as needed

• Perform other departmental duties as assigned 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3-5 Years of Accounting experience

• Experience with Billing using Deltek Costpoint 

• Understanding of T&M, FP, and Cost Plus billing a must 

• Attention to detail

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
