The EL Support Assistant will support the implementation of the district's English Learner (EL) programs, including services for English Learners (EL) and students who have been reclassified as Fluent English Proficient (RFEP). Reporting directly to the principal, the EL Support Assistant will collaborate with staff to design and implement Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions, assess language proficiency, and support the academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning (SEL) needs of EL students. This role involves assisting in data collection, the administration of language assessments, and supporting the progress of EL students and RFEP students.

Incumbents are required to read, speak and write in a designated second language.

Classified Salary Schedule (Range 24) starting at $22.74 per hour. Final placement based on verified prior experience.

Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI, proof of being cleared of Tuberculosis and online trainings are required prior to starting employment.
