Job Details:

Purpose

The MBA Program Office is looking for exam proctors who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the examination process. This role involves monitoring test-takers during exams and ensuring compliance with testing policies. The proctor must remain alert to ensure a fair testing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor examinees throughout the test to prevent cheating or other misconduct.
  • Enforce all exam rules and guidelines consistently and fairly.
  • Escalate any issues or irregularities that arise during the exam (e.g., technical problems, misconduct) to the instructor.
  • Report any testing irregularities or violations of exam rules to the instructor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials and records.

Required Qualifications

  • Be in good academic standing as a degree-seeking graduate student
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, and responsible.

Working Schedule

  • Up to 10 hours per week (hours may vary from week to week depending on exam schedule)
  • Must be available the week of December 8, 2025 to proctor Fall 2025 final exams

Salary

$18/hour

  • Works in standard office conditions.
  • May require standing or sitting for long periods.
  • Must be available during testing hours
  • This is an Austin, TX based position
