- Provide advocacy, support, and education to youth and their families in the Youth ACT program.
- Use personal lived experience to offer peer support and model hope, resilience, and recovery.
- Promote empowerment and self-advocacy among participants.
- Assist with outreach, engagement, and connection to community resources.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, offering peer perspective and collaboration.
- Support program activities, group facilitation, and community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with program and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Youth Peer Advocate (YPA) credential required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior lived experience with mental health recovery required.
- Previous experience working in a service-oriented or support role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
- Traits including patience, tolerance, maturity, and compassion are essential.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with group facilitation or community work are a plus.
