Job Summary
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $234,800 - $256,600 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher level degree of nursing education required
- 5 years’ experience with Perianesthesia clinical standards and care delivery, systems, external regulations, and internal policies
- Recent administrative experience in a Perianesthesia; for example, previous experience as an Assistant Unit Director or Manager in the PACU.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions
- Strong hospital management experience, with progressive and in-depth expertise in patient care services. Knowledge of hospital / clinic operations in a hospital or medical center setting; knowledge of appropriate professional standards for the department and team.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to foster and promote an environment for effective communication and collaborative decision making across multiple units and disciplines.
- Demonstrated hospital management skills, with progressive expertise in patient care services.
- Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, critical events and ability to problem solve with critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making.
- Excellent leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines.Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean principles and change management preferred
License/Certification
- Master's Degree in Nursing or relevant area preferred.
- PALS preferred
- CPAN or CAPA preferred
