About the Department

Position Duties
Three years of experience in the maintenance or repair of mobile equipment; or in the operation of heavy mobile equipment, industrial machinery, construction or maintenance equipment, or transportation or materials handling equipment.

Job Duties:
- Responsible for the automotive maintenance needs of the port.
- Performs preventative maintenance of all port motor vehicles. This includes both gasoline and diesel engines.
- responsible for the clean-up and maintenance of the mechanic shop
- Maintains proper inventory of maintenance supplies, including oils, grease, filters, fuels, welding supplies, and other maintenance equipment.
Appointment Type: Probational
Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
