Job Description
The Assistant Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field is a casual, exempt, fixed-term position ending in March 2026.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: coaching and student-athlete skill development, recruiting, administrative tasks related to the operation of the program, and providing a positive collegiate experience for student-athletes.
Regular travel is required (recruiting and team travel)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lead/manage others
Effective interpersonal skills
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Strong understanding of all aspects of social media is preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required
Demonstrated expertise in coaching Cross Country/Track and Field is required
Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and a clean driving record, required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree preferred
2-4 years previous experience
Previous coaching on the collegiate level preferred
WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm; schedule varies, no more than 20 hours per week. Travel required
SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade AC (Hiring Range $23,660.00 to $61,830.00 annually)
