Sales Account Manager - Minneapolis, MN
ADM Fertilizer
Territory:  Illinois River Market
This is a full-time, exempt position. 
 
Job Description      
The ideal candidate will drive fertilizer sales, strategy, and territory growth by owning the complete sales process for key accounts and prospects, while overseeing all commercial activities at the LaSalle, IL, river terminal. Collaborating closely with leadership, this role will shape regional expansion in lockstep with ADM's broader fertilizer strategy, serving as a true team player who partners with adjacent fertilizer teams to deliver on enterprise goals.
 
Job Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s in Business or Agriculture (or equivalent) + 5+ years commercial experience.
  • Terminal commercial experience.
  • General understanding of commercial logistics and transportation.
  • Proven risk evaluation/management experience.
  • Self-starter who excels at relationship building with sophisticated buyers.
  • Expanded understanding of commodity markets and production agriculture.
  • Positive, professional team collaborator who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven problem-solving and time management track record.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with adjacent and vertical teams.
  • Commitment to driving business growth.
Responsibilities
  • Expand regional sales and margin by leveraging ADM's network and relationship building.
  • Provide leadership and education of fertilizer markets to ADM team stakeholders.
  • Manage a developed sales book and all commercial facets of the sales process.
  • Optimize an ADM-controlled river terminal asset, and all accompanying commercial aspects.
  • Collaborate with adjacent teams to expand margins and optimize logistics.
  • Engage with vertical teams to align day-to-day activities with broader business unit objectives.
  • Ability to execute: Oversee contract management and seamless handling of all accounting obligations
  • 15%-20% travel.
  • Collect and record information on assigned accounts and support customers in every way to make ADM their first choice for fertilizer supply while supporting other ADM capabilities.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$92,800.00 - $172,800.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
