This full time opportunity offers endless opportunity for continued learning while providing a challenging and rewarding work environment. Schedule for the Business Health Nurse will be Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM! 

Job Summary: The Business Health RN assists with the development, promotion, implementation and coordination of occupational services, safety education and resources, health consultations and services to the schools, industries, and general population as provided through the medical center. This position will involve incorporating various health screenings, educational programs, motivational activities, and incentive programs to encourage healthy lifestyles.

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a holistic approach to plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate health, and safety programs offered through Greater Regional Health
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with other departments within the facility, medical staff, and supportive community agencies.
  • Coordinate media promotion of all programming.
  • Determine equipment needs appropriate for promoting and providing various quality health.
  • Serve on various committees of the facility as deemed appropriate by the Director of Business Health
  • Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentially of all pertinent client care information assuring that client rights are protected.
  • Prepare and deliver statistical, marketing and outcome progress reports on existing and planned programs as needed or requested.
  • Recognize social, cultural, community, economics, political, technological, and ecological influences, and the impact of larger policy issues.
  • Participate in academic and continuing education opportunities to increase professional and specialty knowledge which is vital to maintaining professional competence.
  • Maintains accurate records including productivity measures, billing records, quality
    improvement studies, patient records.
  • Provides information in a timely manner to the billing office, medical records, employer, doctors, etc.
  • Promotes and markets the services offered by the Business Health department.
  • Monitor and administer TB screenings.
  • Perform pre-employment health assessment screening on applicants.


Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of individuals.
  • Previous computer experience is desirable.
  • Ability to provide instructional training for health-related programs.

Recruitment Bonus:

We are now offering a Clinical Recruiting Bonus of $25,000 dollars for new employees! Rehires are not eligible for this bonus. This bonus will be paid out over four years. You will remain eligible for payments after hire so long as there is no drop below full-time in employment status.
