Annual Salary Range (2025-2026): $58,788- $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education, experience.
This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
Stipend(s) are pro-rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.
As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive:
A stipend of $2,500 if certified by NBPTS (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).
A stipend of $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD.
- A degree in electronics engineering technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the electronics industry that meets Oregon CTE license requirements. Ability to obtain industry soldering skills or certification within a specified timeframe.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon teaching license with an Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Information Communication Technology Endorsement.
- In order to qualify for a CTE license or endorsement, applicants must show recent and relevant knowledge of a significant portion of the industry in which they want to teach. Applicants must already be an Oregon licensed teacher with industry experience or someone without a teaching license, who has industry experience and is interested in pursuing CTE certification.
- Industry experience in the electronics field required; teaching experience preferred.
- Must have successful experience in working with culturally diverse families and communities, or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.
- Evidence of continuous professional learning and a commitment to participate in professional growth opportunities and self-reflection on professional practice.
- Demonstrated content knowledge for subjects/levels being taught.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with parents, students, and staff.
- Commitment to effective collaboration and teaming within a professional learning community.

High School Teacher, CTE - Electronics, (1.0 FTE), Temporary, 2025-2026 School Year
This position will teach Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
This position is anticipated to start as soon as possible and end June 15, 2026.
Must hold Oregon licensure or be eligible to obtain Oregon teaching license: CTE I or CTE II license; Engineering/Manufacturing Technology Endorsement required.

Position Summary:
The employee is primarily responsible for effective teaching and learning of the assigned subject(s) following district approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Employee may teach in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team teaching settings.
The candidate for this position would instruct our Electronics Engineering Technology Career Pathway at the Sabin Schellenberg Professional Technical Center. The candidate will teach classes in electronics technology and electrical engineering. They will also have program responsibilities that include: planning and facilitating Advisory Board meetings, developing industry partners, development and implementation of program budget from multiple sources of funding, development of work based learning opportunities, documentation of industry recognized credentials and advanced college credit, and sourcing/ordering of industry standard equipment. In addition the candidate will be responsible for supporting the career and technical student organization. Technical skills required of the teacher include the ability to troubleshoot & repair basic and complex analog or digital circuits. Also the ability to instruct students how to troubleshoot & repair their own circuits. Other technical skills include basic industry soldering & assembly of thru-hole components. Familiarity with word processing, data tracking spreadsheets and basic computer software/hardware functions are preferred.

License Requirement:
Must hold or be able to obtain a CTE teaching license or endorsement in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Information Communication Technology or must be able to add the Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Information Communication Technology endorsement to current Oregon teaching license. In order to qualify for a CTE license or endorsement, applicants must show recent and relevant knowledge of a significant portion of the industry in which they want to teach. Applicants must already be an Oregon licensed teacher with industry experience or someone without a teaching license, who has industry experience and is interested in pursuing CTE certification. The district works closely with a CTE Regional Coordinator who will support candidates by providing assistance and facilitation with CTE licensure and Program of Study needs or requirements.

North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
