Description

SCOPE:

Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals.  Each operator is responsible for an has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance. 

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

1. Uses appropriate safety measures
2. Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained
3. Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
4. Follows applicable work instructions.
5. Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
6. Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
7. maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Maintain ingoing and outgoing lubricants. Maintain oil and lubrication inventories.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Maintain fluid levels in all hydraulic and lubrication systems.
2. Lubricate Plant machinery (bearings, ways, guides) and gears.
3. Remove waste oil from machinery locations.
4. Filter and recover waste oil where applicable.
5. Maintain and report lubricant inventory levels and usage.
6. Unload and load incoming and outgoing lubricants.
7. Maintain waste oils – help outside vendors in removing.
8. Perform preventive maintenance as to lubrication on machinery.

Keep assigned machinery and work area neat and orderly.  Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and or lead.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Be able to identify all plat lubricants and know where to use them.  Must be licensed forklift driver.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Consistently working in greasy locations.
