As a Senior Director - Operations(On-Site) you will be responsible for the performance of all operational functions of a large, complex locations. You will provide strategic leadership to meet and optimize established levels of business performance objectives, service, productivity, and quality. You will partner with leaders across supply chain, operations, and the business units to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Lead team to ensure objectives are met, including driving customer service excellence plans, setting and managing performance targets, and employee performance management.
  • Partner with Lean Leadership, ensuring LEAN methodologies are utilized and action plans are developed to correct problem areas and optimize established levels of business performance objectives, service, productivity, and quality
  • Identify, adopt, and implement best practices that enhance operational performance and efficiency
  • Ensures consistent compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, internal audit controls, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and business management quality system requirements
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary.
  • Identifies market potential through competitor analysis and strategic planning.
  • Develops annual business plans, identifies key activities, and priorities.
  • Implements and communicates operational strategies and solutions consistent with business plans.
  • Provides guidance to operations management in hiring and developing talent. 
  • Ensures operational excellence goals and audit requirements are met.
  • Partners with inventory leaders to ensure region inventory needs and goals are met.
  • Provides guidance to ensure business continuity and recovery plans are met.  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • LEAN yellow belt certification - Green or Black belt preferred
  • 10+ years of operations leadership experience
  • Experience running large distribution warehouse centers, complex locations or multiple locations
  • Business and management principles, including strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Strategic thinking skills and ability to work with senior management and regional teams.
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and lead change in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to travel 10% - 25%of the time.

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.  Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of the total compensation package.
