Job Purpose
The Logistics Network Sr. Analyst supports AHM’s mission by ensuring the Finished Vehicles Logistics Network operates cost-effectively, enabling timely and efficient vehicle delivery processes that aligns with customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic business objectives.
This role plays a crucial part in the supply chain operations by analyzing data and creating efficient logistics plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage optimizing the North American transportation network by analysing and modelling domestic and export routes—considering cost, transit time, quality, and sustainability.
- Leverage tools such as Power BI, internal rate/routing software, and external network modelling software to identify opportunities for cost and time reductions.
- Conduct comparative cost and efficiency analysis of port, truck, and rail options to support diversion planning and dynamic network design.
- Maintain a centralized system to track contracts and rate agreements to support operational efficiency.
- Design and manage dashboards and visual maps to monitor cost per unit, volume, and flow by dealer, railhead, port, and plants.
- Evaluate and analyze vendor proposal (RFP, contract extensions, negotiations) to ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of products.
- Generate and deliver detailed reports and insights to support cost analysis and continuous network improvement
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field is required
- 5+ years in logistics planning or operations (Finished Vehicle Logistics preferred)
- Experience with contract management and vendor coordination
- 3+ years working with large, complex data sets
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly for corporate stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Working Conditions
- Standard office hours: M-F, 8a-5p, with flexibility for project deadlines
- 80% of standard office hours spent at Torrance office
- Sit for extended periods
