Del Sol School is a nonpublic school in Cypress, California. Del Sol School provides specialized academic instruction to students from a variety of school districts in Orange County and the surrounding areas. All student services are funded by local school districts. Del Sol School utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis to teach students the behavioral skills necessary to succeed in a class room environment. Student at Del Sol School are taught both academic and functioning to help them transition back to a comprehensive school campus. Del Sol School's offers specialized academic instruction to students in elementary school, middle school, and high school. This program offers structured individualized education, qualified special education teachers, and behavior trained support staff to help students learn to enjoy school and to participate in the school program. Students receive the support they need to improve their independence and skills in all areas. Children show consistent progress on their individual goals and on the content standards. Our classrooms operate with a low student to staff ratio, with no more than 12 students per classroom. All students enrolled in Del Sol School’s non public school program must be refereed by their local school district.

Provide special education program to a group of 10 special education students with support from a program specialist and a dedicated team of behavior specialists at a non profit school, nonpublic school. Del Sol School is a small setting without the politics of a school district. We have a team of educators that support our teachers. Our position would be great for a retired teacher who wants to continue working with kids (part or full time), new teachers, or experienced teachers, who want a different setting. Del Sol School is a certified nonpublic school specializing in providing education to students with server challenging behaviors. School Districts place students with server behaviors at Del Sol School for 1-3 years and Del Sol School uses positive behavior intervention to help student decrease their challenging behaviors and build replacement behaviors and alternative skills. When students are able to function with minimum challenging behaviors while completing academic work, they are transitioned back to their home school district. Del Sol School is seeking Credentialed Special Education Teachers to work as part of our team to support the students in reaching their goals and transitioning back to public school. 

Applicants must hold a current Special Education Credential with specialization in one of the following areas: Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Physical and Health Impairments, or Early Childhood Special Education.
