Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Citrix NetScaler Load Balancers, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) configuration and implementation, and Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF). You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and highly available network infrastructure that supports enterprise-scale applications and services. Eligibility Requirement: Candidates must be U.S. citizens due to security clearance and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Citrix Netscaler, PKI, and Akamai WAF Administration
- Design, deploy, and manage Citrix NetScaler SDX, MPX, and VPX environments, including load balancing, SSL offloading, and high-availability configurations.
- Implement and maintain PKI systems, including certificate authorities, certificate lifecycle management, and security best practices. Familiarity with Keyfactor management platform.
- Knowledge of Microsoft PKI Best Practices
- Manage Akamai WAF to ensure application security and protection from web-based threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate load balancing and security solutions into enterprise architecture.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, availability, and security issues related to load balancing and application delivery based on submitted tickets.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose improvements to enhance security posture and resiliency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Collaboration & Support
- Work with cross-functional teams to support business and security requirements.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority firewall/network security issues in a 24x7 environment.
- May be required to be onsite at the client on occasion to collaborate with client team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Citrix NetScaler certifications Networking (CCP-N) or higher is a plus.
- Akamai Certified Professional is a plus.
- Additional network/security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, AWS Security) are a plus.
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure security, or systems administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler (ADC) deployment, configuration, and optimization.
- Proven expertise with PKI solutions, certificate management, and cryptographic protocols (TLS/SSL).
- Practical experience managing and tuning Akamai WAF or similar web application firewalls.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and network security principles.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder engagement.
