Electric Power Systems, Inc. (EPS) is leading the charge in powering transportation's electric renaissance. We design and manufacture advanced Energy Storage Systems that are smarter, safer, lighter, and certifiable, enabling the next generation of defense, aerospace and transportation technology. At EPS, we believe in pushing boundaries, owning results, and elevating one another to make what once seemed impossible, possible.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Engineering to join our leadership team and drive the strategic and operational direction of our engineering organization. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, with a dotted line to the CEO, this role will provide hands-on leadership across our engineering divisions.
As Vice President of Engineering, you will oversee the successful execution of engineering programs and ensure they align with our mission to accelerate electrification through world-class battery technology. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, develop scalable processes, and champion engineering excellence across the organization. This role requires both strategic vision and a deep technical foundation, balancing near-term program execution with long-term capability building.
We're looking for a proven leader who has demonstrated success managing complex engineering organizations within aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries. You'll bring a strong understanding of systems engineering, product development lifecycles, and agile methodologies such as SAFe. Your ability to inspire and mentor technical leaders, optimize performance across global teams, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation will be key to your success.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field and have at least fifteen years of progressive engineering experience, including eight or more in senior management. A master's or PhD, along with experience in battery systems, high-voltage energy storage, or power electronics, is highly preferred. Familiarity with certification and compliance standards such as DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754A, and military equivalents, such as NAVSEA S9310, JSC20793, and MILSTD-810 is also advantageous.
If you are ready to lead a world-class engineering team shaping the future of electric mobility, we invite you to apply and help us make it possible.
