Key Responsibilities
The Regional Clinical Director directs administrative and clinical operations of Optimal Care Hospice including establishment and maintenance of operational continuity at all levels in accordance with company policy and protocol. Responsible for achieving performance improvement, maintaining accreditation status or certification, directing clinical operation in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, and developing and implementing new programs. Assumes responsibility as Administrator or back up Administrator when necessary. Responsible for the overall financial, operational, and administrative functions of all designated hospice locations.
- Provides oversight for the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, clinical protocols, forms, quality improvement monitors, service programs, and other components of program infrastructure every year and as needed
- Hire Administrators and educate on conditions of participation, accreditation, policy and procedures, and general operations
- Conducts performance appraisals, accurately and as per policy. Ensures all documentation is accurate, complete, and timely and adheres to Medicare guidelines.
- Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third-party payers, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary
- Acts as a liaison between company and other subsidiaries. Provides written and verbal communication within the organization. Responds to and resolves internal customer concerns. Seeks opportunities to collaborate with other subsidiaries in providing a seamless continuum of care to clients of the system
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as nursing, business, leadership, or organizational development
- Minimum 5 years organizational development and 3 years’ experience in health care
- Requires demonstrated interpersonal, supervisory, and management skills with ability to communicate effectively
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred
