Summary

We are seeking a talented R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team at SFS Group USA. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the process and fundamental development in the field of materials technology & heat treatment

Responsibilities

• Consulting and implementation of various material and heat treatment topics
• Process owner of raw material specifications “Competence Center for Raw Materials”
• Close cooperation with raw material suppliers
• Development of new production processes and processes to save resources
• Preparation of feasibility studies and inquiries
• Materials engineering consulting activities for production processes
• Project management for special and implementation projects
• Support with quality complaints and raw material-related supplier audits
• Further development of the various processes
• Performing the function of materials specialist “Competence Center for Raw Materials”
• Review of technical standards
• Perform data collection and analysis to support product development decisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards throughout the development process.
• Manage project scheduling to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Masters's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• Strong ability to understand technically complex contexts and explain them to a wide audience
• Experience in the field of Heat Treatment
• Demonstrated experience in research development within an engineering context.
• Knowledge of international material standards
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in German is a strong plus
