MARKETING & ACTIVATION MANAGER
Position Summary:
The Marketing & Activation Manager plays a key role in supporting Hensley’s brand presence through the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives and special events across Arizona. This role serves as a bridge between internal departments, supplier partners, and external event contacts to ensure successful brand representation, strong community relationships, and high-quality event activations.
In addition to overseeing large-scale marketing initiatives, this role is responsible for developing and mentoring the Marketing Specialist(s) and event staff, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and professional growth within the marketing team.
Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the planning and execution of key marketing events and sponsorships across Arizona, including festivals, concerts, sporting events, and community partnerships.
• Oversee all aspects of event logistics from start to finish, including scheduling, staffing, inventory coordination, and on-site execution.
• Supervise event staff, ambassadors, and marketing representatives to ensure timely, professional, and effective execution.
• Maintain consistent communication with suppliers and promotional partners to align on goals, expectations and brand standards.
• Drive engagement and awareness through on- and off-premise activations such as product sampling, branded experiences, and promotional programming.
• Ensure brand standards are upheld across all event materials, signage, and consumer touchpoints.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments, suppliers, sales teams, and external partners to align on strategy and execution.
• Provide clear and concise post-event recaps, including performance highlights, budget tracking, KPIs, and key takeaways.
• Supervise, train and mentor Marketing Specialist(s)and part-time event staff, ensuring consistent professional development and performance growth.
• Establish clear goals, workflows and performance metrics for the marketing team, provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
• Work evenings, weekends, and peak seasons as required to support activation schedules.
• Foster positive relationships with accounts and event partners through professional communication and occasional hospitality activities (i.e., games, dinners, golf, etc.).
Required Skills and Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, event planning, or brand management
• Proven leadership and team development experience, with the ability to coach and inspire others to achieve high performance.
• Exceptional project management and multitasking skills; ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
