Description

  1. Carries out orders and leads others on particular functions in the Labeling Department under the direction of the Supervisor or Leadperson A.
  2. Instructs and trains Utilities in the operation of the packaging lines.
  3. Informs Supervisor of any problems that may arise.
  4. Helps control quality and quantity of work performed by their group and works to maintain a continuous flow of production 
  5. Operates a walk-behind lift and a personal lift.
  6. Sets up and ensures that the proper codes are used for product in their area.
  7. Maintains line speed and goals as set up by management.
  8. Completes necessary paperwork needed within area of responsibility.
  9. Reports any mechanical or safety issues to the Supervisor immediately.
  10. Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds as required.
  11. Adheres to common safety practices and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.
  12. Adheres to the Company’s plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  13. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  14. Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to:  GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate with management and co-workers
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed
  • Must have good attendance record
  • Safe work habits
