About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Specialist to support the execution of our regional packaging strategy for plant-based spreads and creams. This role is based at our New Century, KS facility and will focus on driving packaging innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting cross-functional initiatives across the supply base.

As a Packaging Specialist, you’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of packaging development—from concept through commercialization—working closely with internal teams and external partners. Your work will help deliver impactful packaging solutions that align with Flora Food Group’s business goals and sustainability ambitions.

 What You'll Do

  • Support the delivery of packaging projects aligned with the regional roadmap for spreads and creams.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new packaging formats and technologies.
  • Ensure packaging compliance with regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Quality.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of packaging initiatives.
  • Contribute to margin improvement and cost optimization efforts through packaging innovation

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Packaging R&D, ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for packaging innovation and sustainability.
  • Experience with packaging development, testing, and commercialization.
  • Familiarity with packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Ability to balance consumer needs, brand identity, and technical feasibility.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
