Process Controls Engineer bei Weyerhaeuser

Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for a Process Controls Engineer for our Dierks, Arkansas Lumber facility. Eligible applicants must be recent graduates of the Rockwell Automation Academy of Advanced Manufacturing.

We are seeking an individual who is committed to safety, has a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. The Control Engineer will support the Electrical Team to maintain and advance the functions of our state-of-the-art lumber facility.

This is an ideal role for an outgoing, organized individual who takes pride in their own workmanship and attention to detail; functions well within a team environment, can identify and perform tasks with minimal supervision, and can work towards increasing the mill’s reliability. The position will follow shift schedule -shift varies between 8-12 hrs. Shift schedule may change to meet future business needs.

Key Functions: 

As a Process Controls Engineer the key functions include:

• Develop and define intermediate to advance control system applications for various machinery and equipment using technologies or platforms including ladder logic programming for programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Perform quality assurance on existing manufacturing processes
• Identify areas that need process control optimization
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance methods and systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and utilize reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure production volume, quality and overall uptime goals are met
• Assist in project planning
• Ensure efficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are met
• Ensure effective use of training resources to maximize team technical skills
• Use computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources
