Qualifications


POSITION SUMMARY
The Loss Prevention & Safety Specialist is primarily responsible for investigating incidents involving team member accidents, internal and external loss, and serious policy violations. This person will help promote safety in the work place and adherence to company policy. A Specialist will utilize CCTV systems to conduct investigations and surveillance across all company lines of business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conduct regular inspections of assigned locations to perform safety observations for compliance with State and Federal safety rules and regulations. Identify potential safety and compliance issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  2. Monitor agency CCTV systems seeking out potential criminal, inappropriate, or unsafe activity across the agency.
  3. Ensure monthly emergency drills are conducted and documented at assigned locations.
  4. Resolve assigned support services help tickets on a timely basis and provide appropriate feedback to those requesting LP&S support services.
  5. Investigate reports of accidents and works with management in initiating preventive measures to avoid further incidents­.
  6. Provide support to assigned safety captains with respect to training and inspection records documentation.
  7. Provide overall support to the business unit including administrative duties.
  8. Work a flexible shift – Be available to work a flexible, rotating shift that could be scheduled at any time within a 24 hour period, including weekends and holidays. Work past the scheduled end time of the shift if engaged in a critical or urgent situation. This position is attendance critical and may require working various shifts/weekends and is on-call for emergency situations.
  9. Responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
  10. Provide support to assigned locations with the use of Loss Prevention Management Systems and Compliance Audit Management Systems.
  11. Validate guard service post order compliance during location visits and cctv review.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School diploma or equivalency diploma.
  2. 3+ years’ experience in a Loss Prevention & Safety Specialist role.
  3. Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Health & Safety, or related fields preferred.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with multiple business units and position levels to achieve desired results.
  5. Advanced skills in implementing and maintaining facility access, fire detection, emergency and CCTV technology, as well as use of MS Office-Word, PPT, and Excel.
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  7. For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
