La Posada Hotel is seeking a Hotel Chef to Join our dynamic hospitality team. As a Hotel Chef, your culinary expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. We are seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.


Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with hotel standards and guest preferences

- Develop and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends

- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and safety compliance

- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs

- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and service

- Collaborate with the culinary team to create special menus for events and banquets

- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Chef in a hotel or similar hospitality environment

- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and presentation skills

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently

- Good communication skills and attention to detail

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.

Experience:

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide staff.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through innovative menus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the Food & Beverage team.
