Director of Growth and Community Relations

The Director of Growth and Community Relations at IMCC is part of a team that interfaces with the participants and their caregivers, local geriatric healthcare professionals, and the community at large to promote the work of the Center, to grow relationships with existing referral sources, and to create relationships with potential new referral sources.  This position serves as a liaison between IMCC and the community by promoting and increasing census in IMCC programs, including the adult day center, early-stage programs, and other duties that further the mission of the Center.  This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Education

• Graduation from college with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Health Services, or related field.

Experience

• Experience in public speaking, in working with persons with dementia and various other types of memory impairments (4 years minimum) and experience in planning and executing successful marketing events and maintaining a customer relations management database. Experience in long-term care settings or Adult Day Health Care services preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis (occasionally up to 50 pounds); Full use of gross and fine motor skills of the upper and lower extremities (i.e., typing on a keyboard, use of a computer, mailings, etc.); Ability to drive a vehicle and navigate effectively in service region.

5. Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and dress code.

Insight Memory Care Center is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit whose mission is to provide specialized care, support and education for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments, their families, caregivers, and the community through our adult day health and resource center.
