Industrial Light & Magic and Lucasfilm Animation look forward to participating in the upcoming LightBox Expo from October 24- 26th in Pasadena!  

For 50 years, Industrial Light & Magic has stood at the forefront of visual innovation, crafting breathtaking worlds and unforgettable characters for the world's most iconic films and immersive experiences.

Lucasfilm Animation is also celebrating a big milestone this year - bringing 20 years of creative storytelling to the Star Wars Universe through series such as the Emmy Award winning series“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the highly successful animation series “Star Wars Rebels”,  Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and the upcoming Star Wars:  Maul - Shadow Lord.

At LightBox Expo, we will be looking for talented artists with a passion for crafting compelling visuals across multiple disciplines and levels:

Industrial Light & Magic:

• Modeling Artists (Character, Environment, Prop)

• Surfacing / Texture Artists

• Look Development Artists

• Rigging Artists 

• Character FX Artists (Cloth, Hair, Fur Simulation)

• Character Animators 

• Crowd Animators

• FX Artists

• Lighting Artists

• Compositing Artists

Lucasfilm Animation:  

• Asset Technical Directors

• Concept Designers (Mid-Level)

Please note in your cover letter which position your experience most aligns with.  Though we will be reviewing all applications for future consideration, there are a limited number of on-site meetings during LightBox.  If you are selected, we will reach out to you prior to the event.

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $58,400 to $168,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
