About this opportunity:
We are looking for a talented Automation and AI Intern who wants to be part of a team that is operationalizing AI and Automation across Ericsson’s North America business.
You’ll join a high-performing, fast-paced team at the forefront of Ericsson’s AI and automation transformation — driving solutions that create measurable impact in how networks are operated and optimized. This is an opportunity to work on real-world AI, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics use cases that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance customer satisfaction across the telecom domain.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation in telecom operations.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, high-performance automation solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Develop Python-based automation scripts, APIs, and machine learning models to solve operational challenges.
- Support data science and predictive modeling initiatives.
- Apply critical thinking and decision-making to analyze data patterns, trends, and predictive outcomes.
- Contribute to AI/ML model development, validation, and deployment pipelines.
- Document architecture, code, and solution workflows to support long-term maintainability.
- Present your findings and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The skills you bring:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or master’s, on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the co-op/internship.
- 2.7+ GPA or equivalent, please upload an unofficial copy of your transcript.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week.
- Applicable Majors/Degrees include Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Predictive Analytics concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Python, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or TensorFlow.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Telecom domain concepts or interest in understanding the role of AI in network operations.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, planning, and organizing complex projects.
- Curiosity and initiative to learn new technologies and drive customer satisfaction through innovative solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver results, collaborate effectively, and think analytically.
