Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain Customer information by setting up new customers, updating information, and managing credit hold status and credit lines
- Run Credit analysis on potential new customers and work with outside credit insurance companies to maintain adequate credit insurance coverage
- Lead Accounts Receivable Department by compiling full accounts receivable reports, leading communication and meetings on receivable collection status, assure the implementation and adherence to department procedures, and guiding decision making pertaining to accounts receivable
- Post customer payments to open invoices in a timely matter.
- Receive, verify, email/mail invoices to the customers in a timely manner.
- Research customer debits and short payment of invoices and work with the plant locations and sales team to accept or deny the debit/short payment.
- Assist in the collection of past due accounts by emailing the customer, providing documentation to support the accuracy of the invoice, or providing any other information to resolve the issue, using the customer’s online portal where applicable.
- Communicate ongoing customer issues to supervisor, sales team and others in the organization.
- Maintain appropriate files to support debits or credits for returned goods, pricing discrepancies, etc.
- Assist outside auditors in any manner to provide a swift and accurate audit for the entire corporation.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Education, Skills and Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisor, sales team, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems solving involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
