JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/ Objectives

The Weaver is responsible for operating and maintaining circular looms, and maintaining loom creels.



Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

  1. Operate and maintain circular weaving looms.
  2. Change weft bobbins on the looms, and load and maintain the creels that hold the wrap yarn for the loom.
  3. Operators are responsible for inspecting jacket and checking the loom creels.
  4. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the A-Weaver.
  5. Attain production goals by accurately and timely completing work orders with minimum supervision.
  6. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  7. Responsible for personal compliance of all OSHA and Puck rules and regulations.
  8. Follows Puck’s Quality Assurance Program by accurately performing the required tasks as directed by team leader.

  10. Completes transactions in the ERP System.

 

Non-Essential Functions

  1. Accurately records time worked and allocates time to the appropriate job(s).
  2. May operate a forklift as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.



Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, oil and grease. The team member is occasionally exposed to vibration. The team member occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and performs work from a variety of different angles and body positions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.



Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, crouching, and crawling all day. The team member is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and to climb or balance. The team member is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The team member must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds; and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.



Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are:

            1st Shift: 7:00AM to 3:30PM. 40 hours per week.

            2nd Shift: 3:00PM to 11:30PM

            3rd Shift: 11:00PM to 7:30AM

Opportunities to work extended hours and on the weekend. Work may be optional or required as job duties demand.



Travel

No travel is regularly expected for this position. Team member may be assigned to go out on service calls to a customer’s premises.



Required Education & Experience

  1. High School Diploma or GED diploma, or three to six months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Industry experience.
