Job Description

This position will require strong management skills paired with produce experience to lead a strong, successful produce team. You will also be expected to operate within set ranges for labor and purchase budgets. Focus will also be on quality, merchandising and execution. This position will be a primarily evening/closing shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Schedules staff to cover peak days/times, and within set labor budgets
• Properly trains, manages, and develops department staff
• Inventories produce stock on a regular basis to ensure proper ordering
• Places appropriate product orders based on sales and store demand while staying within budget
• Maintains current product knowledge and produce trends
• Assists with intracompany transfers of produce or other product as needed
• Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards including the maintenance of overall store cleanliness
• Abides by proper food handling and preparation guidelines and has knowledge of food safety
• Provides and leads with exceptional customer service
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to write legible and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
• Ability to bend, lift, and reach in all directions repeatedly
