Description

The Clinical Therapist must have strong clinical skills in working with children that have been emotionally and physically abused children included, but not limited to treatment of mental disorders, learning disabilities, cognitive and behavioral problems. Modalities of treatments utilized but not limited to Cognitive Therapy, Individual, Child therapy, Family therapy and Group therapy. This Clinical Therapist will consult with the Program Director to ensure quality and ethically sound services that also maintain compliance with State and Agency regulations. 

Starting Salary: $87,550 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation and treatment plans to clinical staff regarding psychological and or emotional problems, such as stress, substance dependency and or family situations. 
  • Provide clinical assessments and treatment plans to clients with mental and physical behaviors
  • Participate in and provide support groups and classes to the community and clients of the agency 
  • Provide clinical treatment or behavior modification and stress management to clients and their parents.
  • Create and Review goals and treatment plans with clients/families.
  • Provide progress reports for Department of Children and Family Services and other referral sources. 
  • Participate in and provide support groups and classes to the community and clients of the agency 
  • Participate in the Agency’s on-call system as needed, allowing for 24 hour, skilled support when clients and families need assistance.
  • Knowing and effectively utilizing referrals to community resources 
  • Provide other duties not limited to aforementioned 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage, Family and Child, and or other related fields recognized by Community Care Licensing.
  • Maintain a current LMSW, LMFT, or LPCC registration with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS).
  • Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Child Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
  • Must meet Community Care Licensing and insurance requirements.
  • Strong Clinical Skills in providing psychosocial assessments of children and parents
  • Inspiring, Self-Starter. Ability to work with a sense of autonomy and at times be a team innovator.
  • Good communication and organizational skills with focus on attention to detail
