Key Responsibilities
- Use of compounding equipment to combine allergen mixtures into the appropriate dosage as listed in the corresponding prescription
- Use our custom prescription tracking software and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to track prescriptions and update/maintain patient account information
- Collaborate with our patient services and clinical staff to ensure patient satisfaction
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by setting up and sanitizing your workstation
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of compounds
- Monitor and maintain compounding equipment
- Assist with packing and shipping patient outbound packages
- Use an automated shipping system to coordinate shipments and track packages
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels for raw production materials and shipping supplies
- Take part in relevant training as well as educational programs
- Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations including confidentiality of patient information
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A detailed oriented individual with a positive attitude who enjoys a challenging environment
- A focused work ethic
- Strong knowledge of standards and all relevant USP compounding guidelines is a plus
- Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Prescription Management software systems and standard office equipment.
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPht) or Texas State (RPhT) is required
- High School diploma or GED is required
