Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Accounting Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of our accounting team. This role will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. While experience in a manufacturing environment is highly valued, we welcome candidates with strong accounting leadership backgrounds from other industries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •    Performs month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  •    Prepares accounting journal entries, maintains records and balances general ledger accounts to subledgers
  •    Responsible for regular reconciliation of general ledger to verify that all transactions are correctly categorized and balanced
  •    Adheres strictly to weekly and monthly accounting deadlines
  •    Prepare financial statements, and ad hoc analysis as requested
  •    Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  •    Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  •    Improve systems performance and recommend corrective actions
  •    Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to inquiries.
  •    Set clear performance goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  •    Assist with weekly cash forecasts and others as directed by Controller

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  •    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CMA preferred but not required)
  •    4+ years of progressive experience, in a supervisory role required
  •    Experience in manufacturing environment a plus
  •    Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  •    Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
  •    Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  •    Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels
