SUMMARY:
Function: To safely and efficiently manufacture product strictly adhering to established standard operating procedures and company policies.
Scope: Responsible for executing established procedures for blending, formulating and filling containers. Additional responsibilities included inventory control, maintenance for equipment, housekeeping activities and strong focus on chemical safety and hazardous waste management.
DUTIES:
Typical
- Handling of chemicals using dispense systems for both bulk and hand, including hazardous wastes.
- Inspection of containers and completion of required documentation for specified materials, including hazardous waste containers and the collection system.
- Maintaining inventory levels in the work area and reporting any deficiencies to Lead.
- Adherence to corporate, State and Federal regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials or when exposed to hazardous situations. Must adhere to departmental and corporate standard operating procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintenance of process equipment and emergency equipment where applicable.
- Preparation and staging of new and/or returned product containers. May require assembly of boxes and application of labels.
- Filling of finished product containers in a clean room environment.
- Packaging of finished product and hazardous waste containers.
- Maintains 6S activities.
- Move raw materials and/or finished goods using forklift upon receiving company certification.
- Performance of other related duties as required, including cleaning and general housekeeping.
Periodical
Attending annual and/or quarterly refresher courses related to hazardous waste management and handling, general safety, quality management, and environmental management. Operator may also be required to drive a forklift.

Receives:
Direct supervision is provided by the department supervisory personnel. (Lead, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manger and General Manager). Completed work is reviewed for accuracy, completeness and compliance with the established guidelines.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
EXPERIENCE:
With a High School Diploma, or G.E.D, no experience is necessary, though previous manufacturing experience of
demonstrated understanding of concepts related to manufacturing is highly desirable.
REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:
- Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).
- Have skills in basic mathematics (algebra is highly desirable).
- Have stable, verifiable work history with excellent attendance record.
- Be mechanically inclined.
- Poises demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions in both verbal and written form.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
There is a potential for exposure to hazardous conditions and/or materials. Operator must be capable of performing duties while wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and/or goggles, and other personal protective equipment that may include clean room apparel. Will involve strenuous activities such as walking, bending, lifting and moving of material; must demonstrate ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at chest height.
OTHER:
Personnel must successfully complete a program of on-site classroom instruction or on-the-job training that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures compliance with all job requirements. Prior experience and/or certification that can be verified will be considered in evaluating training requirements. Additional tasks, as assigned related to smooth facility operations.
FURTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Operator need to be able to work overtime as directed by supervisory staff.
Operator need to be able to work various shifts as directed by supervisory staff.
Operator must have a reliable means of transportation to and from the work site.
