We are currently looking for a Machine Operator – Peeler to join our team in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
About the Role
As a Machine Operator – Peeler, you will clean and operate raw product sizing, peeling, and scrubbing equipment to ensure a consistent supply of properly sized and peeled potatoes to the trim belts. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, process efficiency, and food safety standards.

Statement of Job
Cleans and operates raw product sizing, peeling, and scrubbing equipment under normal supervision to assure a consistent supply of correctly sized and peeled potatoes to the trim belts.
Key Responsibilities
Collect samples, perform tests, and record test results.
Adjust sizing equipment, peelers, and scrubbers for optimal peel removal and raw product use.
Coordinate duties with cleanup personnel.
Understand and participate in the techniques of the quality process.
Follow company policy for job safety.
Adjust live-bottom RPMs of raw product holding bins to ensure proper product volumes and blends.
Perform diagnostic checks and routine adjustments on equipment.
Notify maintenance personnel of breakdowns in sizing and peeling equipment.
Clean peeler room and associated equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Interact and communicate effectively with Dock Attendants, Raw Product Leads, and Maintenance teams.
Special Requirements
Requires considerable mental skill, appreciable manual skill, and strong initiative and independence.
Requires good communication skills.
Periodically requires substantial physical and mental effort.
Scope of Authority
All employees have the right to question or refuse a work-related directive that is unsafe.
All employees are expected to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of people, products, and equipment.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and adjust processing equipment.
Ability to lift 25–40 lbs frequently and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
Basic understanding of food manufacturing processes, safety, and quality standards.
Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
Regular use of hand and power tools in various positions and environments.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders as needed.
Exposure to hot, cold, humid, and noisy environments.
Occasional outdoor work and handling of industrial cleaning chemicals.
