1st shift, Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
2nd shift, Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm
3rd shift, Sun-Thurs 11pm-7am
The Frame Grader plays a critical role in ensuring fabric quality during the manufacturing process by inspecting fabric in the Finishing Department. This position is responsible for identifying and responding to defects, collaborating with the Album Review Team to prevent the continuation of defects, and collecting samples for further inspection. The Frame Grader is essential in maintaining the company’s standards for fabric quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fabric in real time as it passes through the tenter frame to identify and grade defects.
- Stop the tenter frame to prevent long-running defects in collaboration with the Album Review Team.
- Communicate clearly with operators and team members regarding defects and production issues.
- Collect and visually inspect samples as rolls are doffed to ensure quality standards are met.
- Accurately document defects and production data as required.
- Perform quality checks and report any recurring issues to the supervisor or quality control team.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in textile manufacturing or quality inspection is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects in moving fabric.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
