The Role
To manage your own workload within team and divisional objectives, liaising closely with all Engineering
team members, and occasionally with customers and sub contractors, working on varied projects,
interpreting requirements, responding to customer requests, managing, organising and delivering technical
packages for Engineering signoff.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting/providing assistance to the Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing Departments.
Assistance & cover for the Office Administrator.
• Organising and maintaining internal records, and supporting the introduction of new Engineering
projects.
• Responsible for continuous improvements with respect to our current systems
• Mentoring and coaching team members at all levels in admin procedures, when necessary.
• Manages planning, drawing updates and maintains a clear standard for the documentation and
ensures it meets quality requirements.
• To check planning documents that have been updated by engineers, highlight any improvements
and ensure that changes are correct.
• Completion and compilation of customer approval documents such as FAIR’s and PPAP’s. Compile
and gather evidence ready for internal sign off. Manage communication back from the customer for
any updates or required information.
• Maintains brochures and parts cupboard which helps to reduce the number of variances and time it
takes to complete audits.
• Involved with training new engineers on changes/checks to planning to ensure everyone follows
the same standard.
Job Requirements
• Proven IT and communication skills along with AutoCad experience.
• Ability to read and interpret and create technical drawings and specifications
• Good basic engineering knowledge
• Pro-active in communicating with others, keeping relevant people informed. Encourages a twoway dialogue by listening to others.
• The ability to evaluate a situation considering both opportunities and risks. Assess available
information and options. Questions and probes assumptions. Takes a logical and analytical
approach to problem solving.
• Able to successfully prioritise workload to achieve specific project targets and deadlines and
