- Reviews and inputs prescriptions, including patient information, prescriber, drug information, instructions, quantity/refills, and date.
- Obtains insurance information from patients and adjudicates claims appropriately.
- Retrieves medications to count, fill, and label.
- Maintains inventory by verifying wholesaler invoices, placing, and receiving orders, and adjusting inventory levels within the pharmacy.
- Identifies expiration dates of inventory and segregation.
- Updates patient profiles with current allergies and disease states.
- Maintains courteous communication with patients and other staff members.
- Manages cash register functions, daily reports, and prescription filing.
- Operates the pharmacy pickup window; retrieves and checks out prescriptions accurately.
- Assists pharmacy management with administrative tasks.
- Communicates with prescribers and insurance companies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/License/Experience
➢Active PTCB or ExCPT Pharmacy Technician Certification
➢Licensed with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy in good standing
➢High School Diploma or GED equivalent education
➢CPR Certification
